This role will be focused on developing and managing global audits, regulatory exams and relationships. You will partner closely with Compliance Leaders, Audit, Legal, Product, and Business Lines to develop and maintain a comprehensive, standardized audit and regulatory exam framework, including engagements, metrics, plans, processes, and remediations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a robust regulatory examination and audit program to meet regulatory expectations and requirements
Understand the applicable regulatory requirements to ensure internal/external audit testing is adequately designed to identify potential control gaps and non-compliance with laws and regulations
Develop and maintain relationships with regulators and local/regional MLROs/compliance teams to ensure efficient and fair exam outcomes
Work with and support the local compliance teams to ensure the Regulatory Examination process is followed and any policies, procedures, and guidelines deemed necessary as an outcome of the regulatory examination are developed and implemented
Maintain a Global and local level Audit and Regulatory Exam Framework, including but not limited to historic audits, exams and remediation plans, current and forecasted regulatory exams and audits, and developing metrics
Develop Global and local level training for audits, regulatory exams, communications, and engagements
Communicate the compliance framework to all relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Building and managing relationships with stakeholders across the business and peers within compliance and external stakeholders
Requirements:
10+ years of compliance, audit or regulatory exam experience
5+ years compliance audit and/or regulatory exam management experience
3+ years management experience
Experienced in engaging with regulatory bodies, including specifically handling regulatory examinations and expectations
Knowledge and understanding of financial services regulations, compliance policies, standards, and procedures
Strong ability to manage multiple compliance reviews and projects at the same time and meet timely deadlines
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization while maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations
Excellent problem solving, communication and written skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts into a format digestible by a diverse audience
Proactive and diligent teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Highly organized and capable of dealing with complex projects
BA degree or international equivalent
Experience gained from crypto/fintech is preferred
