About the Role
IOV Labs is growing rapidly and we are looking to bring on a Director, Investment. Reporting to VP Growth, you'll be part of the Growth team at IOV Labs!
The Economic Growth team is on the front lines of our mission and innovation, managing the IOV Labs deal process, from initial inbound deals to deal close and beyond, including the launch support of the portfolio companies on Rootstock mainnet and with RIF technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

    • Leading all facets of the company's investment activities
    • Researching emerging trends in crypto and web3, informing our team about new ideas and opportunities you discover 
    • Identifying, building, and maintaining the firm’s relationships with portfolio companies
    •  Developing and executing against an investment strategy, with a focus on investment thesis, equity investment, and liquidity/grants related investments
    • Designing, developing and advancing the investment deal pipeline
    •  Working closely with the investment committee and C-suite on strategies and key decisions

What You Bring to the Table

    • Substantial professional experience working in a venture capital investment role, inside an investment firm, crypto VC, and/or technology company 
    • Experienced, energetic and proactive individual with a track record of investor relations and portfolio management 
    • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it in a relevant way to different audiences, both in writing and verbally 
    • Experience and ability to continue to identify prudent, relevant ways in which we can continue to grow portfolio company’s offering and user base
    • Highly organized, process-driven approach toward pipeline development and management.
    • You are a natural project manager with excellent attention to detail 
    • Desire and ability to learn about new domains and technologies quickly
    • Strong cultural fit. You’re a high performing, committed, passionate, and thoughtful person who has a long-term orientation and an unyielding focus on collaboration
    • Crypto knowledge/experience a plus
    • Fundraising experience a plus
