About the Job

Trust Machines is building the largest ecosystem of Bitcoin applications and growing the Bitcoin economy. We’ve recently raised $150M to realize this vision, build Bitcoin apps, and the open-source technologies required to unleash the true potential of Bitcoin as a final settlement layer. Trust Machines is doubling down on Bitcoin and Stacks, a programming layer for Bitcoin, to help make it faster and easier to develop, while building applications that make Bitcoin productive.

Trust Machines is looking for a full-stack engineer to help us build Bitcoin applications. We're looking to bring on a React developer (or comparable component-based UI framework) who can help us launch MVP prototypes for treasury, voting, and verification, among other features. As one of the early team members, you'll have an instrumental impact on upcoming launches and building apps you'd like to see built on Bitcoin.    What You'll Do:

  • Build a functional UI for the Stacks treasury, proposals, and other features
  • Collaborate with our Clarity Engineer to integrate Clarity smart contracts into the front-end of the app
  • Critical thinking and creative brainstorming around building out the business logic for how to build products that serve our Web3 stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the growing Trust Machines to establish engineering best practices

What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in at least one language or framework for building tools and services (e.g. NodeJS, Express, Rust, Go, etc)
  • Good understanding and comfort with storage / caching solutions ranging from SQL databases(e.g. Postgres) to NoSQL systems (e.g. Redis)
  • You've developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.
  • You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security, and usability.

We'd Also Like To See:

  • Experience building decentralized apps and storage systems like IPFS or Arweave (preferred)
  • Experience working in a public Github repo and/or contributing to open source projects
